Is there a difference between winning for the first time and the second time?


– Not in terms of how we felt at the awards ceremony. We were just as overwhelmed and proud each time. But in the past year, we have learned more about the hard work that has gone into the awards process. Our clients took the time to complete surveys and interviews. That information was summarised and analysed in a report that we use in our continuous quality development.

Does New Republic have a secret recipe for winning?

– One of our fundamental beliefs is that those wishing to contribute to societal development will always gain from transparency, so a secret recipe would go against our DNA. In our experience, you become both smarter and wiser by allowing yourself to be reviewed and criticised.

We endeavour to familiarise ourselves with the complex issues our clients face in order to find the most effective solutions for them. This requires much more than general communication skills. It requires subject matter expertise, great commitment and the ability to view and analyse the client’s reality from a number of perspectives. One of our success factors comes from attracting employees with those abilities and together creating a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.

Are you aiming to win next year as well?

– That would be fantastic, naturally, but winning awards is not a goal in itself. Our best chance of winning again is if we stay focused on delivering results to our clients. To ensure we stay at the top of our game for a long time, we are currently recruiting for expertise in some fields that are facing enormous, exciting societal challenges.

The award is based on client opinion assessed in Scandinavia’s largest industry survey, which is conducted by the research and analysis consultancy Regi. New Republic achieved the highest overall client satisfaction score of all Scandinavian agencies (in all categories) and was ranked highest of all qualified agencies in its category on six of the criteria (Agency of the Year 2018), namely Business value, Delivery dependability, Brand knowledge, Proactiveness, Value for money, and Knowledge of the client’s market.
